--> Inspirasian 2012 is here!It's that time of year again! The MIT Asian Dance Team proudly presents the second annual Boston Asian Performing Arts Festival -- Inspirasian 2012! The two-hour deluxe showcase will featuring guest groups from all over the Boston area, in addition to a series of traditional and hiphop pieces by ADT. Confirmed performers include Dance Revelasian, Wellesley Wushu, BU K-Soul, Harvard AADT, the Wang YMCA Chinese Dance Troupe, Brian Chin, and many others. MIT's one-and-only Asian dance team (MITADT) provides the MIT community with a taste of East Asian culture via the medium of dance. We perform works from traditional Chinese, to contemporary lyrical, to Korean hiphop, to Japanese idol-dance, to aboriginal folk, and much more. We accept members regardless of talent, age, race, or gender, so if you are interested in joining a great community and learning some truly unique dances, head over to the auditions page for more information!
March 25, 2012 - the MIT Asian Dance Team participated in the Showstopper regional competition in Brockton, MA, this past weekend, bringing home the following awards:
- First place Platinum, Advanced Folkloric category.
- Second place overall, Advanced Senior (15-19) division.
